Truck Technician 3

Success as a Truck Shop Technicians is being able to achieve the following expectations:

• Truck Shop Technician 1
• Pickup bed removal on all OEM.
• Prep chassis for service bodies / platform bodies installations on all OEM.
• Basic welding (MIG), plasma operations.
• Overhead hoist operations.
• Standard Service Bodies installations
• Hitch / accessories installations.
• Basic electrical installations (hitch wiring, chassis lights).

Truck Shop Technician 2

• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in a Level 1 role
• Service Body / Pickup truck liftgates installations.
• Standard service bodies and platform bodies installations.
• Toolboxes, ladder racks and all types of accessories installations.
• Advanced welding (MIG), plasma operations.
• Basic hoist / dump bodies installations.
• Advanced electrical installations (strobes lights, inverters, GPS).

Truck Shop Technician 3

• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in a Level 2 role
• Platform bodies / Box truck liftgate and rail gate installations.
• Advanced Hydraulics / PTO installations.
• Advanced skills for complex installations
• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing truck equipment across all OEMs.
• Support other technicians in resolutions of issues.
• Basic fabrication and cutting skills.

Education required for this role:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be eligible to drive company vehicles under Commercial Truck and Van's Fleet Safety Program requirements.
