Overview:Reporting to the Truss Supervisor, the Truss Assembler is responsible for assembling precut wooden trusses according to specifications in a safe and efficient manner to meet internal and external customer needs. Shift is Monday - Friday 6:30 AM until 3:30 PM Essential Functions:Promote and drive safety-first culture, ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitorsKnow and follow safety and emergency procedures as neededOperate assembly equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner to assemble wooden trusses as per customer orders, while adhering to quality specificationsRoutinely perform quality checks and make adjustments as needed to provide customer with accurate and damage-free productComplete all daily orders Maintain clean work area and workstation prep throughout shiftComplete housekeeping and workstation prep tasks prior to end of shiftRoutinely perform preventative maintenance on machinery as per trainingTroubleshoot and/or notify immediate supervisor of machine breakdowns or issuesMaintain and/or update department visual tracking metrics boardsCross-train on other functions in the departmentProvide support in meeting and/or exceeding department and plant goals such as safety, quality, scrap prevention and operational excellencePerform other duties as assigned.
