Trust & Estates Tax Senior / Manager

A well-established, independent CPA firm in Chicago's western suburbs is looking for an experienced Trust & Estates tax professional. The firm serves closely held businesses and their owners and has no plans to sell or merge. This is a chance to become the firm's lead trust and estate expert, working directly with clients and with a real partnership track.

What you'll do

• Prepare and review complex trust, estate and gift tax returns, including complex trusts and ESBTs
• Advise clients on trust planning and serve as the firm's go-to trust and estate resource
• Prepare and review federal and Illinois returns for S corporations, partnerships and individuals
• Work directly with business owners and families

What you bring

• 4+ years of public accounting experience preparing and reviewing income tax returns
• A strong, deep background in trusts and estates
• Current CPA firm experience, or CPA firm experience at some point since 2023
• CPA or EA preferred, but not required
• Local candidates only. No relocation or visa sponsorship is available.

• Competitive base salary of about $80K–$140K+, depending on experience

• Busy seasons run January to April 15 and August to October 15, with 55+ hour weeks that include Saturdays
