Enjoy the best of both worlds with a flexible hybrid schedule that combines in-office collaboration and remote work. Candidates must be able to work from our Grand Rapids or Detroit office. Fully remote arrangements are not available.

Job Description

• Advise individuals and families on estate planning, trusts, wealth preservation, and asset protection strategies.
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
• Assist with trust and estate administration, probate proceedings, and fiduciary matters.
• Collaborate on estate and gift tax planning, charitable giving, and business succession strategies.
• Develop customized estate plans that address clients' unique financial and family goals.
• Conduct legal research and prepare thoughtful, practical recommendations.
• Work closely with experienced attorneys while building direct client relationships.
• Contribute to a collaborative practice that values initiative, professional development, and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 2+ years of experience in trusts and estates, estate planning, probate, or related private client matters.
• Michigan Bar admission or eligibility to waive into Michigan.
• Experience drafting estate planning documents and assisting with trust or estate administration.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with high-net-worth clients, estate and gift tax planning, or business succession planning is a plus.
