Assistant Professors in Information Systems and Analytics

The School of Computing and Analytics (SCA) at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Information Systems and Analytics beginning August 2027. Salary and benefits are competitive.

We are seeking candidates possessing teaching and/or research expertise in one or more of the following areas: information systems, security management, analytics and data-driven decision-making, health informatics, health information systems, health information management, or artificial intelligence in healthcare.

The positions will contribute to the Information Systems & Analytics (IS&A) programs: B.S. in Information Systems and Business Informatics, M.S. in Information Systems, and M.S. in Health Informatics. The SCA is part of the College of Informatics (COI) (informatics.nku.edu) and is housed in Griffin Hall, a landmark high-tech building. The School offers multiple degrees and is organized into three program clusters: Computer Science & Software Engineering (CS&SE), Cybersecurity & Information Technology (CYS&IT), and Information Systems & Analytics (IS&A). Teaching: Develop and teach both face-to-face and online courses. The standard teaching load in the Information Systems & Analytics program is three courses per semester for active researchers. The candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Research: Maintain an active research agenda in the field to ensure ongoing qualification as a Scholarly Academic (SA) under AACSB accreditation standards.

Service: Participate in service activities, including serving on committees at the School, College, and University levels and/or contributing to the professional community.

On-campus presence: This is not a remote position. The successful candidates will be required to relocate to the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related field preferably from an AACSB-accredited program. ABD candidates will be considered.
