UF6 Deconversion / Oxide Production Process Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a UF6 Deconversion Process Engineer for an advanced nuclear fuel developer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in oxide production looking to further their career in uranium processing.

•      Develop and optimize UF6 deconversion processes, from feed introduction to oxide formation

•      Evaluate how process conditions affect oxide chemistry, particle size, and impurities

•      Execute lab and demonstration campaigns, including sampling and troubleshooting

•      Develop drying and calcination approaches; improve powder handling

•      Define off-gas and HF-management requirements; evaluate scale-up

Essential Qualifications

•      Experience in uranium oxide production, deconversion, thermal or powder processing, or chemical reaction engineering

•      Hands-on lab or pilot work with reactors, furnaces, powder handling, and troubleshooting

•      Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, or related field

Bonus Qualifications

•      Advanced degree; direct UF6 deconversion or uranium oxide manufacturing experience

•      Calcination, rotary kilns, fluidized systems, or controlled-atmosphere furnaces

•      Nuclear quality or radiological facility experience
