MAG is recruiting for a Ground Systems Controller/ Field Service Representitive to support the ULTRA program/contract. The GSC/FSR functions as a technical expert for ground systems with an emphasis on network maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and general support for the CONUS ULTRA GCS in support of operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Maintain, configure, and support Ground Control Station (GCS) hardware and software systems.
- Manage and maintain GCS network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and servers.
- Ensure reliable operation of LOS and BLOS communication links (SATCOM, RF, and
IP-based links). - Perform system updates, upgrades, and configuration changes in accordance with
program and customer requirements. - Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for GCS and network-related issues.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, FSRs, and operational teams based on customer requirements.
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex GCS and network issues during operations and
deployments.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
GCS FSR Required Skills/Qualifications:
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience supporting GCS systems and equipment, network infrastructure, or mission-critical control systems
- Strong understanding of IP networking (Layer 1–3), including VLANs, routing, and network troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) datalink and communications systems.
- Ability to work independently while serving as a technical point of contact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in customer-facing environments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (required).
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience supporting aviation, UAS, or defense-related programs.
- Familiarity with SATCOM systems and RF networking concepts.
- Experience supporting deployed or operational environments.
- CompTIA Network+ certification (preferred).
- Additional relevant networking or security certifications (e.g., CCNA).
Clearance
- US Citizen and Active Secret Clearance required
CONUS based, with potential for OCONUS travel.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
