Position Summary
The registered Sonographer will provide ultrasound services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.
Responsibilities:
- The registered Sonographer will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Imaging Services Departments Policy and Procedure Manual and will assist in assigned administrative task.
- Verifies patient and procedural information; prepares patients for exams; educates patients and family members; performs exams; processes films and communicates and transmits reports to physicians; complies and organizes data for radiologist; files films, stocks, prepares and cleans exam rooms; may schedule patients for procedures and transport patients.
- The registered Sonographer will maintain clinical competencies through participation in Hospital and Departmental educational and orientation programs.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Certification- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in a least two of the advanced certifications.
- Certification-Basic Life Support (CPR) with in 7 days of hire
Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 base salary annually, Full Comprehensive Benefits Package, PTO, and much more.
