Ultrasound Tech - PRN

Mountain West Medical Center is nestled at the base of the Oquirrh Mountains in Tooele, Utah. This award-winning healthcare facility and clinics has expert staff serving the largest county in Utah. Currently we are looking to fill the vital role of Ultrasound Technologist.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
  • Coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs.
  • Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. 
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licenses/Certificates required:
    • BLS Certificate
    • One of the following:
      1. Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Sonography.
        • ARDMS SPI certification.
        • Must be eligible and certify in OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, or RVT within 1 year of hire.
      2. RDMS Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
        • Must be eligible to certify in RVT within 1 year of hire.
      3. Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiography.
        • ARRT Certificate in Sonography. 1 year employed sonographer experience preferred.
        • Must be eligible to certify in Vascular Sonography within 1 year of hire.
