The Ultrasound Technologist provides optimal ultrasound exams and/or procedures in an efficient and safe manner, to facilitate the physician's diagnosis. Customers may include neonates, infants, children, adolescent, adult, or geriatric customers.
80 Hours Per 2 Week Pay Period

- Applicable Only to the Heart and Vascular Institute Vascular Lab:
- Interprets and presents preliminary examination findings to referring physicians/reading cardiologist for critical findings.
- Recognizes appropriate indications for required examinations. Identifies situations where further study is important from a clinical perspective.
- Assists customers during the course of the exam/procedure for issues of comfort and care.
- Assists with the goal of acquiring IAC accreditation for HVI and once achieved a continuance to comply with IAC accreditation guidelines and standards.
- Assist with collection of QA data.
- Maintenance of positive study, procedure and stent surveillance logs.
- Participates in activities for professional development and maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials.
- Cleaning and re-stocking of vascular testing and/or procedure rooms. Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.

Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
Experience:
- 1-5 years previous experience preferred.
- Registered in Sonography within 2 years of graduation from an accredited program in Sonography.
Licensure/Certification:
- RDMS Registered
- BLS Certification
