Ultrasound Technologist - Contract

Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28215

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36

Shift Information: 1900-0700 (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

Clinical Interviewing- No - Manager Interview

On Call, Call Back Requirements: 2 nights a month. Technologist has the opportunity to choose the 2 nights.

Weekend Rotation: Will work every Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: None

About Facility:

• Facility is a freestanding ED providing Emergency care
• 12 ED beds
• Facility offers DX, CT and US Imaging
• Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

• Average Scans per day: 10

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year in specialty
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Dependent on experience

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Emergency patients: MVC, SOB, Falls, Injuries, DVT s

Required License, National Certification, Certs:

• BLS and ARDMS

Skills required:

• Proficient in DVT studies for Ultrasound.

Support within the Department:

• Typically, 2-3 technologists within radiology is staffed during the same shift. 1- ultrasound, 2 dual DX/CT techs depending on shift.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• PACS: Phillips iSite
• Department specific equipment: Siemens S2000 US machine

Floating: No

Orientation (facility and unit): 3 days departmental

Scheduling:

• On call: 2 nights a month. Technologist has the opportunity to choose the 2 nights.
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Manager approval
• Shift times: 7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a
