East Houston Medical Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, anddetail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. In this role, youwill perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations that supportaccurate patient assessment, timely diagnosis, and exceptional clinical care.

The ideal candidate is a skilled imaging professional who demonstratesstrong technical ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to patient-centeredservice. This position requires professionalism, accuracy, and the ability towork collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of thecare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and established imaging standards.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures clearly and respectfully.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain quality images for interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Document procedures accurately and maintain complete and timely records.
• Communicate critical findings or concerns to the appropriate clinical personnel.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in equipment care, quality assurance, and departmental workflow as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ultrasound experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent training required.
• Current certification through ARDMS preferred or required, depending on specialty.
• BLS certification required or the ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and quality patient service.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in general, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, or other specialty ultrasound applications.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and imaging documentation systems.
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital-based imaging preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position may require standing for extended periods, lifting orassisting patients as needed, and the ability to perform repetitive motionsassociated with ultrasound procedures. Candidates must be able to meet thephysical demands of a clinical imaging environment.
