Position: Ultrasound Technologist

ScHedule

  • Shift Type: Weekend Day Shift
  • Hours: 2x7.5-hour shifts (15 hours/week)
  • Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Working Days: Saturday & Sunday
  • Days Off: Monday–Friday

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provide technical support to radiologists in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience working with ultrasound imaging equipment and PACS systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures according to departmental protocols
  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient safety
  • Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS and physician workstations
  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment
  • Ensure adequate supplies and proper equipment functionality
  • Assist with training and orientation of new ultrasound staff
  • Schedule examinations, answer telephones, and coordinate patient transport as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established imaging procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred
  • Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology required OR  High School Diploma/GED with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program
  • ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with PACS systems, Microsoft Office, and imaging software preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills
