As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform a versatile range of routine and specialized sonographic procedures, acting as a critical partner to Radiologists in the diagnostic process. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the imaging process—from patient preparation and equipment care to quality assurance—ensuring every patient receives the highest "standard of care."
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging: Perform routine and special procedure medical sonograms with technical accuracy and professional judgment.
Patient Advocacy: Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process clearly, and provide compassionate, high-quality care throughout the visit.
Radiologist Collaboration: Assist Radiologists during specialized procedures and provide preliminary findings as required by facility protocols.
Technical Oversight: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; handle film processing or digital archiving when necessary.
Quality & Compliance: Participate in departmental quality assurance programs and adhere to established radiology safety and service standards.
Administrative Excellence: Assume responsibility for assigned areas, ensuring efficient workflow and strict adherence to outpatient customer service initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Completion of a certified ultrasound program or possession of a Limited Permit/Certificate.
Certification:ARDMS (required for ACR accreditation), ARRT(S), or RT(VS).
Students: ARDMS eligibility is required after 1 year from graduation and 1,000 clinical hours.
Basic Life Support: Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required (or must be completed within 90 days of hire).
Health Requirement:Flu vaccine required (Strict policy: no exemptions or exceptions).
Continuing Education: Commitment to meeting ongoing education requirements to maintain active certification.
Experience: Professional experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly preferred.
Clinical Longevity: A demonstrated history of professional stability and commitment to long-term clinical roles.
Service Orientation: Strong alignment with facility-wide customer service programs and a behavioral fit for a collaborative team culture.
