Awesome opportunity to join our expanding practice!  University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities:

University Radiology is looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Ultrasound Vascular Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team.  In this position, you will play a critical role in patient care and will float to our Central, NJ Imaging Offices, located in Edison, Maplewood, Warren, Bridgewater, & Bedminster. 

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Patient Care:Preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort.
  • Scanning Procedures:Applying gel and using a transducer (probe) to capture high-quality diagnostic images of organs, tissues, and blood vessels.
  • Equipment Management:Operating, adjusting, and maintaining ultrasound machinery.
  • Analysis and Reporting:Evaluating images in real-time, identifying abnormalities, and providing preliminary reports to physicians.
  • Documentation:Updating patient records and managing digital imaging files. 

 

Monday - Friday, rotating Saturdays; Various shifts covering multiple offices in our central region

 

*this position qualifies for float differential pay 

 

 

In addition to being RVT certified, our Ultrasound Vascular Techs are also required to be certified in Abdomen, Breast, and OB/GYN. Ultrasound Vascular Techs must be certified in RVT and at least one of these areas to qualify. URG will reimburse for educational materials and exams for additional certifications, as well as a bonus once obtained. 

 

*May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.

 

Qualifications:
  • ARDMS Registered in Abdomen, Breast, OB/GYN
  • ARDMS or ARRT Registered in Vascular Sonography
  • Minimum of 2+ years of work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Range::

From $42/hr

 

The rate provided is based on industry standards for candidates with 0 – 5 years of experience. Salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education and operational needs.
