Unarmed Security Guard – VA Medical Facilities

Ladgov Corporation is seeking qualified Unarmed Security Guards to provide security services at Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities in Illinois and Indiana.

The selected professionals will help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, and VA property through access control, patrols, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, visitors, and restricted areas.
• Conduct interior, exterior, and parking-area patrols.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems as assigned.
• Respond to incidents and contact VA Police when required.
• Complete daily security logs and incident reports.
• Provide professional assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with the public.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to obtain/maintain required state security licensing/certification.
• Ability to pass required background investigation, medical, TB, and psychological screening.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including 24/7 coverage at certain locations.
