Unarmed Security Officer - Concierge / Front Desk Security

Location: Plainfield, NJ

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Positions: Full-Time & Part-Time

Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift

Position Overview

Our Company is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officers for a concierge-style security position in Plainfield, NJ.

This position is primarily desk-based, with an emphasis on greeting visitors, providing front desk assistance, monitoring activity, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment. Strong technology skills are important, as officers will use computer systems and other technology to support daily security operations.

Candidates with at least 2 years of security experience are preferred, particularly those with front desk, concierge, reception, or customer service experience.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, employees, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Monitor the front desk and control access to the property.
• Answer questions, provide directions, and assist visitors as needed.
• Monitor security systems, cameras, and other technology as assigned.
• Use computer systems to maintain visitor logs, document activity, and complete reports.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or security incidents.
• Follow established site procedures, post orders, and access control protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk presence.
• Provide excellent customer service while supporting site security.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current New Jersey SORA Security Guard License required.
• Strong computer skills and comfort using technology in a professional setting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain attentive and alert while working at a desk for extended periods.
• Two years of security experience preferred.
• Previous concierge, reception, front desk, or customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to pass all required background screenings.
