Steadfast Security, Inc. is seeking experienced, dependable, and confident Unarmed Security Officers for an active retail shopping center in Northridge, California.
This is an active patrol position, not a stationary security assignment.
The property experiences frequent pedestrian activity, loitering, trespassing concerns, and interactions requiring professional communication and de-escalation.
We are looking for officers who can maintain a visible security presence, confidently address property-rule violations within their authority, and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct continuous foot patrols throughout the property.
- Address unauthorized activity professionally and safely.
- Use verbal de-escalation when handling difficult situations.
- Monitor and report trespassing, loitering, and suspicious activity.
- Contact supervisors, Dispatch, or law enforcement when appropriate.
- Complete hourly electronic security reports.
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence.
Qualifications:
- Active California BSIS Guard Card required.
- Prior retail, shopping center, or high-activity security experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comfortable working independently and following established safety procedures.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of an active patrol assignment, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
Available shifts:
- Day, swing, and overnight.
