Job Type: Part-time, NON-EXEMPT

Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour 

Work Location: In-person (Greater Bay Area)

Available Shifts

Day Shift: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Swing Shift: 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM

Grave Shift: 12:30 AM - 8:30 AM

Position Overview

As an Unarmed Security Guard at Diligence Security Group, you play a vital role in upholding security standards and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. We seek individuals with a strong commitment to security and adaptability. Ideal candidates are cross-trainable to work at multiple sites, demonstrating flexibility and reliability in various environments.

Requirements

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid State Guard Card License (MUST HAVE)
• Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record (MUST HAVE)
• Baton, Pepper Spray, Handcuff, and Taser Certification (Preferred)
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (MUST HAVE)

Experience:

• 1+ Years of Security Experience

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong de-escalation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet programs
• Ability to assess situations effectively and identify critical issues
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards

Education/Experience

• Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with Internet programs
• Prior military or law enforcement experience (a plus)
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher is a plus)

Position Duties

• Serve as a visible presence to deter criminal activities
• Respond to unusual or emergency situations with appropriate protocols
• Control site access through admittance procedures
• Patrol entrances, exits, and client locations to prevent unauthorized entry
• Warn violators of rule infractions and remove suspicious persons
• Complete reports, including Incident and Daily Activity Reports
• Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, and other hazards
• Maintain proficiency with assigned protective equipment and restraint devices

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to move for prolonged periods to conduct inspections
• Ability to bend, crouch, climb, or kneel as needed
• Ability to lift or adjust objects up to 100 pounds
• Adaptability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
