Unit Attendant

Arbor Rose is a 62 apartment Assisted Living  Facility in New Britain, CT.  Established under the will executed by Augustus Jerome, Jerome Home/Arbor Rose is a privately-owned, not-for-profit organization.  We are a progressive, nursing community with a highly competent and caring staff.  Established in 1932, our multi levels include, RCH and SNF including short-term rehab and hospice.

We are currently interviewing for Full and Part-time Unit Attendant to work  on our Assisted Living neighborhoods.  The hours would be are flexible for days and evenings, including weekends.  The unit attendant will perform non-clinical tasks related to resident care.  

We have several online programs currently being used by our staff:

• Matrix is used as our EMR.
• Inovalon is our on-line scheduling program. At the click of a button, you can request time off or request to pick up a shift. You can also send email/text notification to request coverage of an open shift.
• Relias is our on-line education program. Classes are assigned via email for you to complete in the allotted time at your own pace.
• Paylocity is our online payroll system. We are all direct deposit and you are able to view your check right online. In addition, we communicate to staff through this system.

The successful candidate will:

• Greet and escort residents to their room. 
• Introduce residents to his/her roommate, if any, and other residents and personnel as appropriate.                                                                  
• Make resident comfortable (i.e. get water, etc.).   Inventory and mark the resident’s personal possessions as instructed.    
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with resident centered care, and as instructed by your supervisors. 
• Answer call bells and any alarms promptly. Provide help for non-clinical requests 
• Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social programs, etc., as necessary.
• Prepare for new admissions (prepare room, supplies, etc…)   
• Prepare residents for meals (i.e., wash hands, comb hair, raise bed, position tables, place clothing protectors, take to/from dining room, etc.).  
• Other duties as assigned by your Charge Nurse
