24‑hour responsibility for assigned unit

What You'll Do:
Provide 24‑hour clinical oversight for a 41–42 bed nursing unit
Supervise, orient, evaluate, and discipline nursing staff assigned to the unit
Oversee all daily clinical and administrative operations on the unit
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and resident assessments
Coordinate and prepare MDS assessments in collaboration with the MDS Nurse
Oversee admission, discharge, and care planning processes
Make frequent rounds to ensure quality resident care and staff performance
Administer medications and treatments when necessary
Carry out and communicate physicians’ and NPs’ orders; promptly report changes in resident condition
Ensure restorative and rehabilitative programs are implemented as ordered
Monitor compliance with federal and state long‑term care regulations
Enforce safety policies, infection control practices, and proper use of equipment
Respond professionally to fast‑paced, high‑acuity, and occasionally stressful situations
What You'll Need:
Active Massachusetts RN or LPN license
CPR and IV Certification
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
At least 1 year of experience in a charge nurse or supervisory role
Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
Solid knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and elder care standards
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
High school education or GED
Demonstrate physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and lift/carry up to 20 pounds unassisted or 50 pounds with assistance
Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English
