Job Summary
Uber's GSS Maps Operations team supports the map data, tools, and workflows that power navigation, ETA accuracy, and pickup/drop-off experiences across Uber products.
We are looking for a self-driven Operations Support Analyst to support Maps programs, test new tools, manage pilot projects, analyze operational data, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and global Operations teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with SQL and Tableau, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Program Support: Lead pilot projects, coordinate testing, and support transitions into production.
Data Analytics: Write SQL queries, analyze operational metrics, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Tool Testing: Test internal tools, report bugs, recommend enhancements, and coordinate fixes with Engineering.
Process Improvement: Identify workflow gaps, improve operational efficiency, and develop scalable SOPs.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and global Ops teams to drive deliverables.
Reporting: Prepare weekly program updates highlighting performance, insights, risks, and actions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on SQL and Tableau experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in operations support, project coordination, or data analysis.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and other collaboration tools.
Nice to Have
Experience in Maps, Navigation, Geospatial Operations, or Autonomous Vehicles.
Familiarity with QGIS, or Mapping tools.
Experience working with Engineering teams and supporting global Operations.
