We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team in a foundation labor role. This position supports a variety of construction activities and is well suited for someone who is eager to learn, follows direction well, and values safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and ready to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
Assist with general construction and foundation-related tasks as directed by supervisors.
Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment to support Heavy Construction Equipment Operators as needed.
May operate Light Equipment (skid steers, small truck and trailers around project or yard)
Support site preparation, cleanup, and maintenance to keep work areas safe and efficient
Mix, carry, and handle basic materials as needed for foundation work
Use hand tools and basic equipment under supervision such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
Follow safety procedures, company policies, and project instructions at all times
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and project goals
Qualifications
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Willingness to learn new skills and take on physical work
Ability to perform tasks that may involve standing, lifting, bending, and working outdoors
Commitment to safety and attention to detail
0-2 years of heavy, commercial, or industrial construction laborer experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Environment
Primarily outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Work may involve early start times, manual labor, and extended periods of physical activity
Physical and Mental Requirements
8+ hours per day of standing, stooping, bending, squatting, walking, climbing, balancing, and other physical exertion activities related to essential construction duties and responsibilities.
Physical lifting, up to 50+ lbs with or without assistance on a regular basis throughout the workday.
The ability to see safety signals and surrounding environment, to include objects near and far away, above and below eye level, and the cognitive ability to assess and avoid unsafe situations and circumstances.
This position requires the ability to communicate safety information verbally and/or with hand signals.
This position requires the use of physical and mental knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel Requirements
100% In-state and out-of-state travel required.
