Description
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Ann Arbor Urgent Care, a fast-paced urgent care facility. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth patient flow and supporting clinical staff in delivering timely medical care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor.
Check-in and check-out patients accurately and efficiently.
Verify and update patient information and insurance details.
Collect co-pays and process payments.
Answer multi-line phone system and route calls appropriately.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Ensure the front desk and waiting area are clean, organized, and welcoming.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Previous experience in a medical or urgent care setting (preferred).
Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such a eClinicalWorks,(preferred).
Basic understanding of medical insurance and terminology (preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Bilingual (Spanish/English or other language) a plus.
Ability to work on weekends, holidays, or extended hours if required.
