General Summary:
The PA or NP under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions also including Urogynecologic/urologic conditions within the clinic and hospital setting
Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
Will manage new patients and follow up patient visit, Assisting and developing proper plan of care and diagnosis
Office procedures include but not limited to: Bladder instillations, foley management, endometrial biopsies, tibial nerve stimulation, post operative care
Surgical Assistance for Urogynecologic procedures including vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic female pelvic reconstructive procedures
Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
Always displays a caring and professional attitude as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
Schedule:
Schedule Details: Monday – Friday
Practice call Rotation – 1 week every 12 weeks practice call
Practice Location - Clermont and Villages
Hospitals covered: AH Minneola
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
Strong communication skills
Strong medical decision-making skills
Required Education and Experience:
Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies or Nurse Practitioner (NP) studies
1-3 years of experience as a PA-C or NP; Urogynecology or Urology (preferred)
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
Current, valid Florida PA or NP
Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization
