Full Stack Developer (Java / React / Azure)

Job Title: Full Stack Developer (Java / React / Azure)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support the development of next-generation video, audio, and image capture experiences for a digital reporting platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, React, Azure cloud technologies, and AI/ML API integrations. This role involves building scalable backend services, integrating AI capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a secure and modern cloud environment.

• Java, Spring Boot, and AI API integration experience
• Strong team collaboration skills and willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices for handling video, audio, and image uploads
• Integrate Azure OpenAI and Azure Speech services for transcription, text-to-speech, and intelligent data extraction
• Design and implement secure cloud-based media storage solutions using Azure Blob Storage and related services
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability for real-time and batch AI workflows
• Collaborate with frontend developers on media capture, playback APIs, and workflow integration
• Work closely with cloud, security, QA, and governance teams to ensure compliance and data protection standards
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and development best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot backend development
• 5+ years of React front-end development experience
• Strong experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, including storage and containerized services
• Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM services such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Speech, or Vision APIs
• Strong understanding of secure API design, authentication, and access control
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile engineering teams
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Git-based source control
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with audio, video, and image media APIs
• Experience with WebSockets or streaming audio technologies
• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tools
• Experience working in regulated or highly secure environments
Performance Expectations:
• Deliver assigned work within agreed timelines and project milestones
• Communicate risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively
• Produce reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions aligned with best practices
• Demonstrate ownership and ability to independently complete tasks after onboarding
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, product, QA, and infrastructure teams
• In-person verification will be required upon offer extension as part of onboarding compliance
