Used Car Automotive Service Technician

Lancaster County Motors Quality Pre-Owned, part of the Lancaster County Motors Family of Dealerships has an opportunity for a used vehicle Service Technician.

We have a great career opportunity for you as a used car Service Technician at our new temperature controlled Quality Pre-ownded shop.  This position will be responsible for repairing a variety of name brand vehicles for our used car lots and vehicles going to car auctions.

• Performs works as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Other duties as assigned
