Location: This position can be based in Boston, MA, Portsmouth, NH, Plano, TX, Seattle, WA, or Remote.
Responsibilities:
Independently scope and execute custom research across digital assets.
Focus on digital experiences for various user groups including customers, agents, adjusters, and more.
Partner with software product development teams to understand business objectives and ensure design solutions meet users’ needs.
Lead research projects designed to identify user needs and behaviors.
Leverage expertise in user research methods and Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies.
Interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex research results to empower business decisions.
Champion end-users by integrating insights from diverse sources.
Forge high-trust partnerships with colleagues across multiple teams and departments.
Lead objective-setting and discovery processes, including user persona development and journey-mapping.
Influence business partners by providing clear, actionable recommendations.
Communicate findings with clarity and impact for senior and executive-level stakeholders.
Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of UX Research experience in a corporate agile setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, Master’s preferred.
Expertise in a wide range of qualitative research methods, including usability studies, interviews, focus groups, surveys, card sorts, and heuristic reviews.
Exceptional communication skills, adept at translating data into actionable insights.
Expertise in data-driven storytelling.
Familiarity with research tools like Qualtrics and UserZoom, as well as UX methodologies such as Design Thinking and Lean UX.
Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team-building abilities.
Proven track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industry.
Extensive experience with agile planning and development processes.
A track record of independent decision-making with strong business judgment.
Flexibility to adapt and excel in a dynamic environment.
Experience with quantitative research methods.
