Material Handler - (3rd shift)

ABB is seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Production Material Handler to join our team at our St. Louis, Missouri facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and moving materials throughout our production environment to support efficient manufacturing operations.

The production material handler will work in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, industrial equipment, and warehouse conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position involves physical activity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Receive, inspect, move and organize materials and components according to specifications and quality standards
• Move and stack materials using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage material storage to optimize warehouse space and efficiency
• Support production operations by delivering materials to machines and work stations in a timely manner
• Prepare materials for shipment and ensure proper packaging and labeling according to specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and follow all safety protocols and procedures
• May perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory verification

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 1 year of experience as a Utility 19 Material Handler
• Safety Compliance: Demonstrated commitment to ABB safety policies and hazard communication; must properly wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions (gripping, turning, pushing, bending, pulling) while standing/walking for extended periods at production pace
• Equipment & Tool Proficiency: Dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment (electric chain hoists, pneumatic shears, hydraulic lifts, pallet jacks, control systems)
• Technical Competency: Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions; read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and inventory tags; perform basic calculations
• Attendance & Flexibility: Maintain regular, punctual attendance and ability to work daily/weekend overtime, including short-notice shifts

This Position reports to: Patrick Sexton (3rd shift)

The work model for the role is: Onsite

Hourly pay range: $21.89-$27.92

(Shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift)

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $XX and $XX annually and is bonus eligible.
