    We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Utility Floater to join our team in Rome, New York. This is a hands-on, full-time position that provides flexible support across our manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the facility—including production, shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, and material handling—to help support daily operations and changing business needs.

    About the job:

    As a Utility Floater, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our facility by:

    • Supporting production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling activities.
    • Loading, unloading, staging, labeling, storing, and moving raw materials and finished goods.
    • Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material handling equipment.
    • Assisting with inventory counts, audits, cycle counts, and proper material storage and rotation.
    • Preparing customer orders and supporting delivery-related activities as required.
    • Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the facility.
    • Completing required paperwork, documentation, and system transactions accurately.
    • Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
    • Reporting safety, quality, equipment, or process concerns promptly.
    • Providing flexible support across departments and assisting with special projects or other duties as assigned.

    Skills and Qualifications - the ideal candidate will have:

    • A high school diploma or GED (preferred).
    • Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or general labor (preferred).
    • Forklift or other material handling equipment experience (preferred).
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Basic math skills and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
    • A strong commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and reliability.
    • The ability to learn new tasks quickly and work effectively in multiple areas of the operation.
    • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

    Physical Requirements

    This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, push, pull, and move materials throughout the workday.     Schedule: This is a full-time position.

    Monday through Friday
    8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
