Overview
The Utility/Mover IV performs a broad range of relocation, utility, and general maintenance activities throughout the Institute. This position coordinates and executes the movement of office furniture, laboratory equipment, files, boxes, and other materials while supporting daily Utility work orders and minor repairs. The role requires basic mechanical and construction skills, the ability to safely operate moving equipment and a 16-foot box truck, and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. The Utility/Mover IV works closely with end users, Facilities staff, and other trades to coordinate schedules, complete work efficiently, and provide responsive customer service. The position is expected to work independently, maintain accurate work records through the CMMS system, uphold high safety standards, and assist with on-call coverage and other Facilities needs as assigned.
