Hours: 730am-4pm

JOB SUMMARY

This is a hands-on role responsible for cleaning, assembling, inspecting, and preparing rental temperature control equipment, including chillers, heaters, air handlers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and related accessories, for customer deployment and return. 

The successful candidate will assist with pressure washing equipment, plumbing hoses and piping systems, assembling mechanical components, maintaining the rental yard, and ensuring equipment is clean, organized, and ready for service. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with their hands in a fast-paced shop and outdoor environment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Pressure wash and clean rental temperature control equipment and accessories.
  • Assemble and prepare chillers, heaters, air handlers, heat exchangers, and related rental equipment for customer use.
  • Install and connect hoses, piping, fittings, pumps, and other mechanical components.
  • Inspect returned rental equipment for cleanliness, damage, and operational readiness.
  • Assist with basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rental yard and work area.
  • Load, unload, move, and stage equipment and materials.
  • Assist technicians with equipment setup and teardown activities.
  • Organize inventory, hoses, fittings, cables, and accessories.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate equipment issues, shortages, or repair needs to supervisors.
  • Support general shop and yard operations as assigned.

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, plumbing, HVAC, construction, equipment rental, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as business needs require.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, piping, or HVAC systems preferred.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical requirements of this job include lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and pulling up to 50 lbs. Standing, sitting, and climbing up and down stairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
