    Job Description

    Utility Porter
     
     
    SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all area of the Casino public and office areas. Responsible for deep cleaning in all public and office areas.
     
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Cleans chandeliers and overhead lighting, mirror, vents, walls and brass.
    2. Ensures that supplies and paper products are restocked.
    3. Adheres to all company and departmental polices and procedures.
    4. Participates in departmental brainstorming sessions.
    5. Other duties as assigned.
     
     
    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to understand, communicate and direct customers. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Must be able to present a well-groomed appearance.
    3. Must be able to read labels on chemical bottles. Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction.
    4. Must be able to operate motorized equipment and stand on ladders of various heights or scaffold to perform job duties.
     
     
     
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    Work may require evening, early morning, and week end schedules.  Must be able to maneuver in casino areas, up and down stairs and reach above shoulder level.  Able to push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels, may be exposed to extreme heat and/or cold. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
