Utility Technician

Hamilton LLC is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of full -time Utility Technician. About this role - Utility Technician The Utility Technician provides general labor and operational support to mining activities by assisting equipment operators, maintaining work areas, performing housekeeping duties, and supporting production and maintenance teams. The position plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and productive mining operations while adhering to all company policies and safety regulations. Responsibilities • Perform general labor tasks in support of mining operations • Assist equipment operators and maintenance personnel as needed • Conduct housekeeping activities, including cleaning work areas, removing debris, and maintaining safe working conditions • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and effectively • Assist with conveyor, crusher, processing plant , and site maintenance activities • Load, unload, and transport materials, supplies, and equipment • Inspect work areas and report safety hazards, equipment issues, or operational concerns • Support production activities during shutdowns, repairs, and routine operations • Install, repair, maintain, and dismantle piping systems used for water, slurry, air and dewatering applications • Perform HDPE pipe fusion activities. Including butt fusion and electrofusion processes in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures • Prepare HDPE pipe and fittings for fusion by measuring, cutting, aligning, facing, and inspecting connections • Follow all Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regulations and company safety procedures *The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all -inclusive. Qualifications and Skills • Previous mining, industrial, construction, or utility experience preferred • Experience with HDPE pipe fusion operations • Knowledge of mining and indust rial safety practi ces • Ability to perform HDPE butt fusion and electrofusion procedures • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, specifications, and work instructions • Famili arity with pumps, pipelines, dewatering systems, and water management processes • Ability to operate hand tools power tools , and fusion equipment • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem -solving skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Look like a good fit?
