Utility Worker

Position Characteristics:

The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of cookware, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also insures the dishwashing areas are maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the mission and philosophy of EBRCOA

Assists in preparation and packaging of food in kitchen

Serves meals in kitchen

Cleans and sanitizes dishes, silverware, and pots

Cleans serving, work, and storage areas

Cleans hoods and floor grates

Performs related work as required and assigned

Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets

Scrape leftovers from dishes into garbage containers

Stock cupboards and refrigerators

Ensures that refrigerator meets Serve Safe requirements

Ensures quality control

Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers

Ensures kitchen cleanliness

Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly

Other duties as directed
