Summary:
Location: Delaware Water Gap, PA
Duration: 5 Months (Temp to Hire)
Work Mode: Onsite
Must be flexible to work all shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7am – 3pm
- 2nd Shift: 3pm – 11pm
- 3rd Shift: 11pm – 7am
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the safety program and work to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the plant and OSHA.
- Maintain general housekeeping around the mill, including dumping hoppers/trash, cleaning floors/walls, and ensuring general cleanliness of the mill.
- Assist with Housekeeping Audit action items as directed by area owner.
- Assist with general duties in dry end/wet end as required, which may include the use of an overhead crane to move rolls, cutting of cores, slabbing rolls, and banding slabs to prepare for transport to trailer.
- Use forklift as required to move broke, supplies, etc.
- Keep supplies stocked in areas throughout the mill.
- Understand and follow the mill training system, policies, and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to use tools/equipment such as a forklift, simple hand tools, clamp truck, yard tractor, banding machine, utility knife, and roll pusher.
Preferred Skills:
- Comfort with heights and confined spaces.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs.
