Utility Worker (Manufacturing Facility Support)

OneSource Professional Search is partnering with an established manufacturer in Mandeville, LA, to hire a Utility Worker (Manufacturing Facility Support) team member. This hands-on, three-month contract-to-hire opportunity involves facility upkeep, material handling, equipment maintenance, and general production support. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, with on-the-job training available for forklifts and shop equipment and potential opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized production areas, machinery, and facility grounds.

• Prepare pumps and components for painting, assembly, and shipping.

• Assist with moving materials, tools, and equipment throughout the facility.

• Remove scrap materials, trash, and production debris.

• Perform basic equipment upkeep, including lubrication and forklift maintenance checks.

• Learn to operate forklifts, floor sweepers, grinders, sandblasters, and other shop equipment.

• Follow company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, facilities, or general labor experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial environment.

• Comfortable performing physical labor and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Willingness to learn new equipment and assist with various shop tasks.

• Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
