Amazon Shopping Design seeks a UX Designer to define and drive the future of shopping at Amazon. In this role, you will work with voice and graphic interfaces in a fast-paced environment. From inception through launch, you will be a design owner, responsible for delivering ambitious concepts andusing data to iterate and improve - translating needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions.

The Amazon Shopping Design team brings together curious designers who collaborate to power the Amazon shopping experience and deliver innovation at incredible scale. You will define, concept, and execute end-to-end experiences while working with your design partners and leadership. You will drive that vision into solid design deliverables, including multi-modal user interface designs and frameworks for voice and screen, interaction models, design specs, and prototypes. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and marketing - both inside our organization and with partner teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with early-stage product development for multi-modal consumer experiences and be passionate, focused, and relentless.

Key job responsibilities

• \tDesign solutions for difficult design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined

• \tCreate conceptual sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes

• \tCollaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines to drive alignment and efficiency

• \tDevelop and improve design patterns, standards, and processes that scale for your team

• \tConduct brainstorming sessions and present at cross-team reviews to demonstrate features and drive design decisions

• \tSynthesize qualitative and quantitative data (metrics, usability studies) to inform product-level customer experience decisions

• \tWork closely with engineering to incorporate capabilities and constraints of the technology stack

• \tBalance short- and long-term design requirements against engineering constraints

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience

- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices

- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar

- Knowledge of UX and/or CX design and usability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows

- Experience owning end-to-end programs to drive results

- Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences

- Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders

- Experience planning and executing effective customer research, solo, or in partnership with a UX Researcher

- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of increasing scope and complexity

- Experience designing multi-modal product experiences, with conversancy in natural language conversation

- Experience defining and driving creative solutions in new or ambiguous product territory

- Experience as a design owner for UX and conversational design

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
