Job Title: Visual/UI Designer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension
The role blends strong visual craft with systems thinking, ensuring brand consistency, usability, and performance across both marketing and product journeys. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in applying and extending brand systems at scale, working within client design system to evolve components, templates, and patterns that can be reused across the site.
Operating at the intersection of Brand, Marketing, and Experience Design, this role plays a critical part in scaling defined visual direction into end-to-end page sets and user flows enabling faster delivery, consistent customer experiences, and measurable improvements in engagement and conversion.
Visual Design & Brand Execution
Leverage a defined website design of 4 to 5 pages to scale and create high-quality visual designs across remaining website including all landing pages, marketing spots, and product experiences.
Apply and uphold enterprise brand guidelines consistently across touchpoints.
Translate brand and marketing strategies into polished, execution-ready designs.
Ensure visual consistency and quality across customer-facing experiences.
Design System Application
Leverage Shield components, templates, and design patterns to create scalable, reusable designs for our CMS.
Contribute to the evolution of the design system by identifying gaps and enhancement opportunities.
Balance design system reuse with thoughtful customization to meet experience needs.
Deliver designs that are aligned with engineering standards and ready for development.
Align design outputs to enterprise standards for reusability, consistency, and cross-platform coherence.
Marketing & Conversion Optimization
Design landing pages and acquisition experiences that support marketing campaigns.
Apply best practices for conversion-focused design, including layout, hierarchy, and visual Client.
Partner with Marketing and Engineering teams to support testing and optimization efforts (e.g., A/B testing).
Use data, insights, and performance metrics to inform design decisions and improve outcomes.
Collaboration & Delivery
Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Brand, Product, and Engineering.
Ensure design deliverables align to both business goals and customer needs.
Participate in design reviews and critiques to elevate quality and consistency across teams.
Contribute to integrated experiences across multiple touchpoints and channels.
Bachelor s degree, or equivalent work experience.
Typically 4 years of experience in visual design, digital design, or related field.
Strong portfolio demonstrating:
Visual design craft (typography, layout, color, composition).
Application of brand systems at scale.
Design for marketing or acquisition-focused experiences.
Working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Figma).
Experience working within a design system or component-based framework (e.g., Shield).
Proven ability to design for performance outcomes (conversion, engagement, usability).
Experience partnering with Marketing teams on campaigns, landing pages, or growth initiatives.
Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction patterns, and responsive design.
Ability to balance speed, quality, and scalability in design delivery.
Data-informed mindset with an interest in measurement and optimization.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Ability to articulate design rationale and connect decisions to business impact and customer outcomes.
This role operates within both Marketing and Experience Design organizations.
Partners closely with Marketing, Brand, and Product teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact experiences.
Supports enterprise efforts to scale design system adoption, brand consistency, and digital performance.
