Vac Packer

Our client, Seafood Production is seeking a Vac Packer to join their team. As a Vac Packer, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the Seafood Packaging Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a safety-first mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Vac Packer

Location: Fall River, MA

Pay Range:

Shift: 5:30am to 3pm

What's the Job?

• Prepare fresh and/or frozen seafood products for vacuum packaging
• Place seafood into appropriate vacuum-seal bags or packaging
• Operate vacuum packing and sealing equipment safely
• Inspect packages to ensure they are properly sealed with no leaks or damage
• Weigh, label, date, and organize packaged products as required

What's Needed?

• Previous seafood processing, food production, packing, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced production environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements
• Ability to lift, bend, reach, and move products throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and willingness to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures

What's the Job?

• Preparar mariscos frescos y/o congelados para su empaque al vacío
• Colocar los mariscos en bolsas o empaques adecuados para sellado al vacío
• Operar de forma segura el equipo de empaque y sellado al vacío
• Revisar que los empaques estén correctamente sellados, sin fugas ni daños
• Pesar, etiquetar, fechar y organizar los productos empacados según se requiera

What's Needed?

• Se prefiere experiencia previa en procesamiento de mariscos, producción de alimentos, empaque o manufactura
• Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente frío, húmedo y de ritmo rápido
• Capacidad para permanecer de pie por periodos prolongados y realizar movimientos repetitivos con manos, muñecas y brazos
• Capacidad para levantar, agacharse, alcanzar y mover productos durante toda la jornada
• Alta atención al detalle, asistencia confiable y disposición para seguir procedimientos de seguridad alimentaria, sanitización y seguridad en el trabajo
