Value Stream Supervisor — Fabrication and Welding

If improving flow, eliminating waste, and coaching people to their best work lights you up, this Value Stream Supervisor role in Fabrication and Welding is your next challenge. You’ll steer multiple departments and/or shifts to consistently meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Your mission

1. Lead people: Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team; set clear expectations, give timely feedback, and manage performance, budgets, and EEO/AA compliance.
2. Stabilize the process: Detect risks early—material shortages, equipment failures, delays—and implement standard responses that minimize downtime.
3. Plan and execute: Align schedules, testing, and staffing to production demand; coordinate activities across departments and shifts.
4. Optimize assets: Maximize utilization of hours, skills, machines, tooling, and facilities while maintaining quality and cost targets.
5. Engineer improvements: Partner with engineering on process, tooling, and equipment changes that elevate safety, throughput, and quality.
6. Drive CI and cost-out: Use data to estimate labor requirements and efficiency; launch projects and deliver measurable improvements on time.
7. Validate quality: Inspect materials and finished goods to standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communicator and proven leader in manufacturing/warehousing.
• Either: HS Diploma (or equivalent) plus 3+ years in manufacturing with prior supervisory experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year in manufacturing.
• Experience across multiple departments is a plus.
• Demonstrated success with continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, procedures, and production/quality standards; site-dependent need to read/interpret blueprints, drawings, job orders, and specifications.
• Advanced problem-solving for personnel and production issues.
• Proficiency with office tools and business systems (e.g., SAP).
• Comfort in a high-velocity environment with tight timelines.
• Fluent in English and the primary language used at the location.

Compensation — NY State

The expected base annual salary is $70,000–$90,000 USD, commensurate with experience. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
