Job Details
  • Manage venture capital fund audit engagements from pre-planning through report issuance and binder close, with minimal oversight from Directors or Partners
  • Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, engagement plans, staffing plans, and timelines
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, and related documentation for accuracy and compliance with professional standards
  • Research and resolve technical matters including investment valuations, partner allocations, capital activity, distributions, and syndication costs
  • Supervise multiple engagements and teams simultaneously, reallocating resources as needed
  • Serve as a primary day to day client contact throughout the audit lifecycle
  • Explain technical accounting and auditing matters to teams and clients
  • Draft management letter comments and discuss findings with clients
  • Support billing and collections for assigned clients
  • Mentor, train, and supervise Associates and Seniors
  • Promote the firm's mission and culture through actions and communication

Qualifications
  • Current and active CPA license
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 to 9 years of public accounting audit experience
  • Experience serving venture capital, private equity, investment companies, or alternative investment fund clients
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, investment company accounting, audit methodology, and risk assessment
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop Associates and Seniors
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, teams, and client relationships at once
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
