Overview:
The BIM/VDC Coordinator role supports the integration of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methodologies into our projects. This role will learn and utilize cutting-edge digital tools and processes to optimize design, enhance coordination, and streamline construction, ensuring project excellence from conception to completion.
What you will be doing:
- Works closely with field construction units, ascertaining the real-world applicability, accuracy, and utility of BIM/VDC models and simulations.
- Supports the development, maintenance, and optimization of comprehensive 3D/4D models for infrastructure projects, using these for simulations, design validation, constructability reviews, and sequencing.
- Abides by BIM/VDC standards, guaranteeing uniformity, efficiency, and quality in our projects.
- Uses BIM/VDC tools to identify design and construction clashes. Makes suggestions to the VDC manager to resolve routine issues and prevent on-site complications.
- Utilizes BIM/VDC models to anticipate potential project risks. Makes mitigation suggestions to the VDC manager to support project continuity.
- Supports BIM/VDC leadership with business development and preconstruction teams to develop 3D/4D visualization and virtualization renderings, walkthroughs, simulations, prepares narratives for the proposals as the subject matter expert on digital build use cases and delivery.
- Maintains knowledge of Flatiron’s company values and strategic plan.

- Performs additional assignments per management's direction.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience working in the digital build environment in the construction industry required.
- Experience in large infrastructure projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Autodesk and/or Bentley 3D/4D software preferred.

USD $140,000.00/Yr.
Salary Max:
USD $150,000.00/Yr.
