JOB SUMMARY:

The Mechanical and Plumbing VDC/Design Intern is responsible for supporting one or multiple Designers in our Virtual Design and Coordination group. This position is based at our headquarters in Tamarac, FL and guarantees 20 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours based on workload. The goal of this internship is to provide an understanding of the entire process of design, coordination, and fabrication by performing dimensional layouts, design, and modeling of William R Nash's HVAC and Plumbing systems installations ranging from small to large, complex projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the creation of HVAC and or plumbing drawings and models using Revit software.
• Prepare clash coordination models using Navisworks to coordinate with internal designers, and other trades.
• Dimensions plans and create fabrication packages for installation.
• Ensures outputs meet the required standards and agreed-upon deadlines.
• Download, update, and organize consultant models daily.
• Upload Completed drawings to document control system.
• Bring optimization to work every day.
• Always be in control of your destiny.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a degree in mechanical or civil design or relevant design and Revit experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with Revit and Navisworks software a plus.
• Positive attitude with desire to learn new things.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter and able to work independently and in team environment.
