Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience engineering and supporting enterprise-scale Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
- Proficiency in configuring Omnissa or VMware Horizon components including Connection Servers, Agents, and desktop pools.
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11 enterprise desktop engineering, master image optimization, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Experience with scripting and automating repeatable virtual desktop deployment tasks utilizing PowerShell.
- Experience in administering enterprise user profile technologies specifically leveraging FSLogix, Dynamic Environment Manager, or Citrix profiles.
- Experience with Active Directory administration, Group Policy security baselines, and core VDI networking protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate end-to-end workload migrations and author detailed technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain enterprise Windows virtual desktop environments utilizing Omnissa Horizon platforms.
- Execute large-scale workload migrations and transitions from legacy VDI environments into modernized Horizon infrastructures.
- Engineer, optimize, and maintain standardized golden images, application delivery layers, and desktop configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex virtual desktop performance bottlenecks, user profile anomalies, and authentication failures.
- Configure Connection Servers, desktop pools, and Group Policy configurations to enforce strict security baselines.
- Automate routine operational procedures and desktop management tasks using modular PowerShell scripts.
- Partner with cross-functional network and security engineering teams to author comprehensive operational runbooks.
