Your Job

As a Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical part in delivering an outstanding customer experience by ensuring the right inventory is in the right place at the right time. Through proactive inventory management, data-driven decisions, and strong customer partnerships, you will help drive Molex's ability to operate a best-in-class supply chain.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) for assigned customer accounts, ensuring consistent product availability and service excellence
  • Act as a key partner to customers, maintaining regular communication to understand demand, anticipate needs, and resolve risks proactively
  • Analyze inventory, demand, and consumption data to balance supply and prevent shortages or excess inventory
  • Use reporting tools and systems (Excel, SAP, etc.) to generate insights, identify root causes, and drive process improvements that enhance inventory performance
  • Identify root causes of inventory or service issues and implement process improvements to enhance performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams across supply chain, planning, and sales to align on inventory strategies and customer priorities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping strengthen Molex's position as a leader in supply chain and inventory management
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through reporting, audits, and cycle counts as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing operations, or a related field
  • Experience analyzing inventory, demand, or supply chain data to support business decisions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing, or cross-functional environment
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, workflows, or systems while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and/or external customers to resolve issues and improve service

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., macros, data consolidation, complex formulas)
  • Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Bachelors degree or higher in any field

For this role, we anticipate paying $65,000 - $80,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
