Job Summary

This role is effectively a vendor governance and service management position focused on MSP/vendor performance oversight, contract governance, service delivery management, risk and compliance management, operational health reporting, and business-to-vendor coordination. The role carries an approximate split of 70% vendor governance and 30% service management/issue resolution, with additional responsibility for validating operational health reports against guidelines, reviewing and resolving current project issues (both recurring and new), and supporting existing and new system changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT outsourcing policies, standards, and procedures aligned with IT strategy.
• Administer contracts for outsourced services (e.g., help desk, data center operations) in partnership with Procurement and Legal.
• Analyze and report on vendor performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendors meet business and contractual requirements.
• Oversee service delivery governance and contract compliance.
• Facilitate resolution of operational and application service issues with vendors.
• Identify risks associated with outsourced services and establish appropriate controls.
• Report operational health and service performance to business and IT leadership.
• Apply deep expertise in IT outsourcing management.
• May manage short- to mid-term projects with responsibility for costs, methods, and outcomes.
• Solve atypical challenges requiring ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
• Maintain broad knowledge across related IT disciplines.
• Contribute to new processes, standards, and operational plans.
• Identify problems and solutions.
• Support project execution, including objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
• Help drive successful project outcomes.
• Exercise independent judgment and advise on courses of action.
• May negotiate resolutions to issues.
• Make recommendations on scope and strategy.
• Understand that incorrect decisions can significantly impact major projects and business objectives.

Required Skills

• Program/project management skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
• 1 3 years of experience
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar reporting/visualization tools
• Experience with at least one ITSM platform (ServiceNow, Remedy/BMC Remedy Helix, or Atlassian Jira, or equivalent)
• Project management experience (practical application)
• Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills (Teams, Word)

Preferred Skills

• SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) knowledge basic system analysis experience

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (preferred)

Required Experience

• 1 3 years of relevant experience in vendor governance, service management, or program/contract management
