Role Overview

The Venture Origination Analyst plays a front-end role in the venture investment process, responsible for originating new investment opportunities and building relationships across the startup ecosystem. • Identify and engage founders at the idea, pre-seed, and seed stages

• Conduct initial founder conversations to assess team quality, vision, and market opportunity

• Build and maintain a structured deal pipeline and origination database

• Monitor accelerators, incubators, demo days, and startup communities for emerging companies

• Support thematic sourcing and market mapping aligned with firm investment strategies

• Perform initial screening on product, traction, business models, and competitive dynamics

• Prepare origination briefs and opportunity summaries for internal investment discussions

• Collaborate with investment team members during transition from origination to diligence

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, or a related field

• Strong interest in venture capital, startups, and early-stage company building

• Prior exposure to venture capital, startups, accelerators, consulting, sales, or founder-facing roles is helpful

• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with founders and operators
