Job Description:

Veterinarian – Associate or Lead

Colorado Springs, CO

Come Grow With a Team That’s Growing Fast

Chewy Vet Care is expanding in Colorado Springs, and we’re looking for full-time or part-time veterinarians to join our high-volume, collaborative practice. Whether you’re an experienced Associate Veterinarian, a seasoned clinician ready for more leadership, or somewhere in between, we’d love to connect.

Our practices are designed by veterinarians, for veterinarians—with modern equipment, purpose-built technology, efficient workflows, and strong paraprofessional support. You’ll have the opportunity to practice excellent medicine, build lasting client relationships, and make a meaningful impact on a growing team.

Colorado Springs offers an incredible quality of life at the foot of Pikes Peak, with easy access to hiking, biking, skiing, mountain towns, and outdoor adventure. The area also features a growing downtown, vibrant community, and a more relaxed pace of life.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care for dogs and cats.
  • Manage a diverse, high-volume caseload with support from an experienced veterinary team.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients through clear communication and education.
  • Collaborate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and hospital leadership.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and learning-focused team culture.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow all regulatory requirements.
  • Continue developing your clinical, surgical, and leadership skills.

Opportunities to Grow

Depending on your experience and interests, you may also have opportunities to:

  • Mentor Associate Veterinarians and paraprofessional team members.
  • Support medical quality and clinical standards.
  • Lead case discussions and team learning.
  • Help shape workflows and the future growth of the practice.
  • Step into formal medical leadership now or in the future.

What You’ll Need

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited program.
  • Active veterinary license in good standing, or the ability to obtain a Colorado license.
  • DEA and USDA accreditation, or the ability to obtain them.
  • Experience practicing general medicine and surgery.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to compassionate, evidence-based veterinary care.

Experience with soft-tissue surgery and complex medical cases is valued, but we welcome veterinarians with a range of backgrounds and clinical interests.

If you’re looking for a supportive team, a busy practice, and room to grow, reach out or apply today.

Join Chewy Vet Care and help us create a better experience for pets, pet parents, and veterinary professionals.

The base salary range for this role is $112,000 - $179,500.00.
