Perform veterinary examinations, diagnostics, and treatment of animals as required by CBP.
Support inspection, handling, and disposition of animals and animal products encountered during CBP operations.
Provide professional veterinary guidance related to animal health, disease prevention, and biosecurity.
Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation in accordance with CBP requirements.
Coordinate with CBP personnel, agriculture specialists, and other government representatives as directed.
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional veterinary standards.
Respond to services as ordered under individual delivery/task orders issued during the contract period.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution.
Active, unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.
Knowledge of animal health, zoonotic diseases, and veterinary public health practices.
Ability to work in an operational airport and law-enforcement environment.
Experience supporting government, agriculture, or port-of-entry operations.
Familiarity with federal animal health and import/export regulations.
